Biz Town (from Katie's view)

Fifth graders from all over Utah go to a special all day event where they pretend to run a city for the day. Biz Town. They love it and look forward to it all semester. Here is Katie's point of view of the day. She was a purchaser and clerk for the day. She was at the back of the store..... you do not sell much at the back of the store; even if you are selling bubble cell phones and bouncy balls.

Jar Gardens

Usually we have Activity Days at the Church. Kaleb has track after school which means no babysitter. So after letting my kids run all over the church during the last activity I decided to move the next activity to my house. Kids downstairs and the TV babysat for me. Sad but true. Wild Kratz is their new favorite show right now..... @ 4 just enough time for homework to get done before it starts. I digress. So these cute girls brought jars and came to my little kitchen and we fit 2 leaders and 10 girls in there. Talk about miracles.
We had fun though putting together terrariums, jar gardens and talking about reflecting, beautiful creations and such. These girls are awesome. They are capable to doing complicated things and cleaning up after mess. Believe it.

Collecting and the Goodwill

Jonathan found these studffed animals that he loves in the goodwill donation bag. Weeping and wailing and dramatic rhetoric on how his Grandmas gave him these animals. It is hard to collect things when your mom likes to get rid of things

Happy Birthday Katie (NO. 11)

Birthday Mornings are crazy around here. Katie's hair is half curled when we quickly opened presents and sang Happy Birthday. Katie loves her birthdays, we love her enthusiasm. Dancing, a craft, pink, all the necessary ingredients for a perfect birthday.

Good Friends

We have so much fun when theses girls get together. They are creative, full of giggles and lots of fun. Kaylee, Kaia and Katie are great girls to be around. They will make the world a better place, one creative play at a time.

Snow Hat

I think this look really took a turn for the worse after we watched Despicable Me.

Awesomeness

So over a family dinner one night, we discussed Awesomeness. Normal topic. So Jonathan described a picture from a library book and the kid's awesomeness pose. Here is Max's, Sara's, and Jonathan's take on Awesomeness. We were waiting for our food at Crown Burger. Thank you camera on the iphone.

Running in the Snow and Rain - Or - the First Day of Spring

Kaleb was the first runner in his relay..... they had troubles with passing the baton. They were cold for a long time.... waiting in the bull pin for their turn, half naked. Do these kids look like they are having fun, cold but happy.
I think they are hugging because it was so cold. Track jersey's are not meant for Utah weather. Kaleb was so cold.... his running time was 5 seconds slower. And he threatened to wear his track pants and hoodie. He didn't, but I would have. It snowed twice during the meet, and the sun refused to shine more than 10 minutes at a time. We need to invest in some warmer running clothes. One for the story telling years of life.
