Activity Days, My New Love

I am so enjoying being an activity day leader. It is so much fun to be with these girls who love being at activity days. It makes all the work and effort worth it. I especially like to spend time with this cute girl.... who makes her families' lunches without being asked. Activity Days Rocks!

No Candy

After a year of way to many cavities and dentist bills, I offered my kids a $100 dollars to not eat candy for a year (2010). One year of no hard candy. They could have gum, home made treats and cookies but no candy. Kaleb and Katie did it. One year of no candy. A hundred dollars is a lot of money and they were so excited to get it on New Year's morning. I think they are enjoying their candy even more this year.

Wanted: One Shelf

So a long time ago, I bought a bench to store the shoes in the entry way of our home. For a long time we had an empty wall because I knew I wanted to hang a shelf above the bench. One rainy night traveling through Orem, I saw a huge shelf on the side of the road with a FREE sign by it. I convinced Scott to help me haul the shelf home to our garage. The shelf was too big for the wall, so Scott helped me to take it apart, shorten it and then put it back together again. I painted it, and then it took huge screws and more to attach it to our wall. But I love it. Here is what I pulled together from the Christmas boxes to adorn it. In January I put out Snowman decor put only left it out a little while because it felt cluttered. Decorating it will be a work in progress, but I am enjoying the process.

Pincushion Posh

So late one evening and early the next I worked on this beauty. I saw a tutorial on Martha Stewart Craft blog and thought I would have a go.. I love making things and this was right up my alley. It was a lot of fun to make and helped me release all those creative energies that get stifled from time to time.

Gingerbread House Tradition

Scott loves helping them with the gingerbread houses, I love not to. I take pictures, he squirts frosting and gives directions. It makes for a happy family that way.

Snow Buddies

So Scott's Mom gave us a Christmas decoration of three snowman stacked on top of each other several Christmas's ago. Sara this Christmas got attached, and named them snow buddies. They went everywhere with her for about 3 days. Then I got really tired of them and put them away. Put here are a few of the places they could be found.
